Does Holiday Shopping Make You Anxious?

by Chris Curley on November 23, 2011

Nearly every American adult dreads some aspect of holiday shopping, says a survey funded by online shopping portal Ebates.

With Black Friday right around the corner, let’s look at the stressors:

  • 66 percent say they dislike combating large holiday shopping crowds
  • 60 percent say waiting in line rankles them most
  • 41 percent stress out over finding the “right” gift for people
  • 38 percent feel like they are spending too much money

Around half of respondents say they prefer shopping online to avoid the crowds, although research suggests shopping online would do little to help those who feel like they spend too much money.
